The STS@temple network hosts monthly meetings as well as special seminars, panels, and workshops throughout the academic year. Our regular interdisciplinary gathering generally takes place from 11:30am to 12:30pm on the second Monday of each month in the Charles Library and features faculty and invited speakers.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Meetings are open to all members of the Temple community including faculty, graduate students, undergraduates, and staff. No prior involvement with STS is required. Newcomers are always welcome. Event details, locations within the library, and upcoming programming are posted on this page and shared through our low-traffic MailChimp mailing list which we encourage you to join. Twenty-five years ago, 17 technologists issued the Manifesto for Agile Software Development<\/em>, outlining a set of values and principles that reshaped the future of software development. Today, the rapid emergence of AI technology has created significant harms as well as the possibility of numerous dystopian futures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What values and principles are needed today to redirect the development and implementation of this technology?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
