This group of folks included Brian Matthews and John Shank.<\/p>\n<p>Over time, those folks went on to their own blogs and other endeavors and today the sole contributor to Designing Better Libraries is Steven Bell.<\/p>\n<p>Steven Bell is currently Associate University Librarian for Research and Instructional Services at <a href=\"http:\/\/library.temple.edu\">Temple University<\/a>, and was previously Director of the Library at Philadelphia University. Steven is the author of two regular columns published by Library Journal, <a href=\"http:\/\/lj.libraryjournal.com\/category\/opinion\/steven-bell\/\">From the Bell Tower<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/lj.libraryjournal.com\/category\/opinion\/leading-from-the-library\/\">Leading From the Library<\/a>. With John Shank he is co-founder of the <a href=\"http:\/\/blendedlibrarian.learningtimes.net\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Blended Librarians Online Learning Community<\/a>. Bell and Shank are also authors of the book <a href=\"http:\/\/www.alastore.ala.org\/detail.aspx?ID=39\">Academic Librarianship by Design<\/a>.
