THE LAWYER AS BUSINESS STRATEGIST
The Startup Legal Practicum is an experiential law program that provides pro bono transactional legal services to Philadelphia area entrepreneurs and emerging growth businesses. Under the supervision of a full time faculty member, senior law students are able to service a limited number of entrepreneurial ventures.
The SLP provides services that will guide entrepreneurs through the startup process by providing legal assistance, such as advising on corporate governance and structure, negotiating leases, and other corporation formation and contract matters.
In addition to legal advice and support, SLP clients will gain access to educational seminars and programs as well as opportunities to meet and network with other young entrepreneurs and others in the startup community.
Because we have limited capacity, we give preference to ventures that impact society and communities in positive ways. See the list below for the types of matters we typically handle.
