About Me

Hello,

I am Jake La Fronz, a second-year PhD student in history at Temple University and my research focuses on twentieth-century queer and trans history, specifically topics such as bar raids, drag, and the broader social and cultural shifts within LGBTQ+ communities. Geographically, my work engages with archives from San Francisco, Chicago, Philadelphia, New Jersey, Long Island, London, and Italy, which reflects my wide-ranging interest at the intersections of place, identity, and resistance in the United States but also the world.

You can find my Temple Student profile here.

And my personal blog here.
