SLAB Lab Manager
Carolina graduate from Temple University in May 2015 with a B.A. in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences and a minor in Public Health. As an undergraduate she was a research assistant in Dr. Carol Scheffner Hammer’s Language and Literacy Development in Diverse Contexts Lab where she developed her passion for bilingual research. She currently works as the lab manager for the SLAB Lab and will be pursuing a masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology at SDSU starting fall of 2016. Her research interests are bilingual language acquisition, motor speech disorders, and standardized test development.
Research Assistant
Barbara graduated from Temple University in May 2016 with a B.A. in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences. After working on research in Dr. Maas’ lab she has become very interested in the populations affected by apraxia. She is also interested in elder populations and how dementia can affect speech. Barbara was a founding member of the Alpha Xi Delta chapter while at Temple. She will be pursuing a masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Delaware starting fall of 2016. In her spare time, Barbara enjoys camping and hiking.
Research Assistant
Kimberly graduated from Temple University in May of 2016 with a Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology. She is interested in working with individuals who have had strokes and traumatic brain injuries. In addition to the SLAB Lab, Kimberly works as a behavior technician in the brain injury unit at Magee Rehabilitation Hospital. She plans on pursuing a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology in Fall of 2017. In her free time, she enjoys skiing, sculling, and creating art.
