School Discipline Advocacy Service | Community & Practitioners
Community Groups and Practitioners
If you are working with a child facing a school discipline hearing or think your organization would benefit from learning more about the school discipline process, SDAS can help. SDAS can give you information about what to expect, and in some cases, may be able to accompany you to the hearing. We offer community training programs that can help educate the public on the discipline process and the rights of students.
Our community training sessions are meant to inform those involved in the school discipline process – students, parents, and practitioners – about how to effectively navigate the process and exercise their rights. SDAS has held trainings for community centers, youth groups, and social workers.
We can come to your organization and lead a workshop explaining this process. These presentations usually require at least one hour.
