Temple University Libraries and University Press is proud to host these students\u2019 outstanding research in Temple\u2019s institutional repository <a href=\"http:\/\/scholarshare.temple.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TUScholarShare<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:15px\">We received <strong>128 doctoral dissertations<\/strong> and <strong>47 master&#8217;s theses<\/strong> this May. Of those, only <strong>14% chose to embargo (i.e., delay access to) their work<\/strong>. This means that most of these important publications are freely available for the public to read now.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:15px\">In addition, <strong>almost 50% of these authors included their <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/orcid.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>ORCiD<\/strong><\/a>, a unique persistent identifier that links a researcher to their work. No matter where these graduate students study or work after Temple or how their names might change, their iD will distinguish them from other researchers. All Temple faculty and graduate students can benefit from <a href=\"https:\/\/orcid.org\/register\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">registering for one<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:15px\">The programs with the most dissertations deposited this year were <strong>Educational Leadership (12)<\/strong>, <strong>Business Administration\/Interdisciplinary (8),<\/strong> and <strong>Chemistry (8), <\/strong>while the <strong>Urban Bioethics (28,)<\/strong> and <strong>Oral Biology (9<\/strong>) programs deposited the most master\u2019s theses.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:15px\"><strong>Medical ethics<\/strong> and <strong>urban bioethics<\/strong> were the most popular subjects written about by May graduates.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:15px\"><strong>Artificial intelligence (AI)<\/strong>, a topic appearing in the news quite frequently these days, was a theme in five dissertations:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"font-size:15px\"><a href=\"http:\/\/dx.doi.org\/10.34944\/dspace\/10144\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">EXPLORING THE IMPACT OF THE ALGORITHMS ON MANAGEMENT HIRING DECISION AND BIAS<\/a> (Suela Papagelis, D.B.A., Business Administration\/Human Resource Management)&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"font-size:15px\"><a href=\"http:\/\/dx.doi.org\/10.34944\/dspace\/10193\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Fintech in a Changing Market and Immersive Web 3.0 World<\/a> (Musangi Muthui, D.B.A., Business Administration\/Management Information Systems)&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"font-size:15px\"><a href=\"http:\/\/dx.doi.org\/10.34944\/dspace\/10235\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Humans vs. Machines Artificial Intelligence in Recruiting: Beyond the Hype, Unveiling the Real-World Impact<\/a> (Bianca Picardo, D.B.A., Business Administration\/Human Resource Management)&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"font-size:15px\"><a href=\"http:\/\/dx.doi.org\/10.34944\/dspace\/10306\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Is AI a General Purpose Technology?<\/a> (Mark DeSantis, D.B.A., Business Administration\/International Business Administration)&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"font-size:15px\"><a href=\"http:\/\/dx.doi.org\/10.34944\/dspace\/10290\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Machine Learning Methods for Autonomous Driving: Visual Privacy, 3D Depth Perception and Trajectory Prediction Modeling<\/a> (Semir Elezovikj, Ph.D., Computer and Information Science)&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:15px\">Two works explored topics on <strong>Philadelphia<\/strong>:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"font-size:15px\"><a href=\"http:\/\/dx.doi.org\/10.34944\/dspace\/10157\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Greening with Care: Exploring Environmental Justice in Philadelphia&#8217;s Urban Green Infrastructure Through a Feminist Labor Lens<\/a> (Elizabeth C. Riedman, Ph.D., Geography)&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"font-size:15px\"><a href=\"http:\/\/dx.doi.org\/10.34944\/dspace\/10202\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">GUN VIOLENCE IN PHILADELPHIA: MULTIDISCIPLINARY ANALYSIS AND A NOVEL COMMUNITY-BASED INTERVENTION FRAMEWORK<\/a> (Jonathan Kolansky, M.A., Urban Bioethics)&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:15px\">Finally, the award for <strong>the longest thesis\/dissertation<\/strong> goes to <a href=\"http:\/\/dx.doi.org\/10.34944\/dspace\/10193\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Fintech in a Changing Market and Immersive Web 3.0 World<\/a> (Musangi Muthui, D.B.A., Business Administration\/Management Information Systems), which is a remarkable <strong>969 pages long.<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:15px\">Congrats again to all our graduates!
