Dear Hiring Manager,

Through the Center for Student Professional Development at Temple University, I recently learned about the Social Media Intern position at MyFitnessPal. I am a junior business management major at the Fox School of Business. My creative thinking skills and social media savviness make me a strong fit for this position.

I have a strong background in creative thinking allowing for my keen eye for detail and I have aided in the creation of board displays as well as designing company attire and merch during my time as an employee at Bullard’s American Café. My duties include customer service, team leading, promoting, and working in a face paced, cross functional environment. I regularly communicate recommendations both to my team and customers. I helped plan special menus, large parties, and social media designs for our Facebook page, which have drove in more customers for record-breaking sales days in the past few months. This experience will allow me to help develop and deliver projects to positively impact customers and products.

I gained solid experience managing inventory during my time as assistant manager at Playa Bowls Warrington. Each day here, our store location did about $3,000 in sales, if not more. Each week, I tracked inventory and sent in new orders including food, drinks, food containers, and merch. I also logged cash drawer counts after the end of each shift. My role in this area allowed for the stores days to go smoothly and for me to track trends in what’s most popular. This experience will allow me to track popular trends in the MyFitnessPal app with minimal training as well as proves my strong communication skills in all areas.

My business education, combined with my experience in party planning, managing inventory, and clothing/ advertisement designs make me a great fit for the Social Media Internship. My resume is enclosed. I look forward to hearing from you to further discuss how my experiences can benefit MyFitnessPal. Thank you for your time and consideration.
