Healthcare has seen an explosion in the use of technology for clinical diagnosis and treatment, training and education, information storage and retrieval, and asset preservation. Examples also include<br>Risk Management Information Systems (RMIS), Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Meaningful Use, social networking and cyber liability.<\/p><cite><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ashrm.org\/topics\/technology-erm-domain\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.ashrm.org\/topics\/technology-erm-domain\">Source: American Society for Health Care Risk Management<\/a><\/cite><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Barriers in Patient Data Communication <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Technology risk is one of the eight primary risk domains recognized by the American Society of Health Care Risk Management (ASHRM) <em>see above graphic<\/em>. ERM approaches allow for more cooperative, nimble, and high-reliabilty mitigation strategies.
