This study is looking at developing and testing workplace training called The SAFE Program for people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and\/or intellectual and developmental disabilities (I\/DD). The program targets behaviors to increase safety and prevention of airborne diseases such as COVID-19 in the workplace.  The SAFE program<\/strong> will provide training in an easily understood format for those with ASD and\/or IDD.  It will focus on teaching specific behaviors to  reduce the risk of acquiring and transmitting COVID-19 and other airborne diseases.  Training will be provided by a Peer Support Specialist with lived experience of ASD and\/or IDD. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

COMPLETE: Phase 1, we established proof-of-concept <\/strong>by developing and iteratively refining the SAFE<\/strong> program<\/em> for AYA with ASD through focus groups, qualitative interviews and innovative commercial marketing techniques to develop highly targeted messages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

COMPLETE: Phase 2, we are establishing proof-of-product<\/strong> by implementing, testing, and iteratively refining the SAFE <\/strong>program <\/em>with 45 AYA with ASD in real-world settings through a peer support model of intervention delivery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
