Temple is conveniently accessible from center city Philadelphia by both SEPTA Regional Rail (most convenient) and SEPTA’s Broad Street Line (cheapest). Schedules and routes are available on SEPTA’s website. Additional options include taxi or rideshare (Lyft/Uber) and onsite parking.
Regional Rail (recommended)
Board train at Suburban station (16th & JFK) or Jefferson station (12th & Filbert). Temple is 2 stops from Suburban and 1 stop from Jefferson. Trains towards Temple should depart from Tracks 1 and 2 at both stations. Single-fare ‘Quick Trips’ can be purchased at SEPTA kiosks. Suburban or Jefferson to Temple is Fare Zone 1/CCP. All trains stop at all center city stations (30th, Suburban, Jefferson) and most stop at Temple.
Rideshare/Taxi (recommended)
Participants should consider sharing rideshare to Temple (post-docs and students will be reimbursed for travel). Friday drop off near Alter Hall/Fox School of Business (1810 N. 13th Street). Saturday drop off near Wachman Hall (1850 N. Broad St).
Broad Street Line
The Broad Street Line is Philadelphia’s subway running North-to-South underneath Broad St. Board at Walnut-Locust Station (200 S. Broad) and take train to Cecil B. Moore Station (express trains do not stop at Cecil B. Moore).
Onsite Parking
Parking is available in the Montgomery Garage, located at 1859 N. 11th St., Philadelphia, PA 19122. Parking is $6 per hour. There is also parking available at the Liacouras Garage, located on 15th Street, between Montgomery and Cecil B. Moore Ave. Parking is $20/entry. Parking is not validated and only credits cards are accepted.
In addition to the two public parking garages, Main Campus also has two metered surface lots—the Tuttleman lot, located on Montgomery Ave between 13th and 12th streets, and the Cecil B. Moore lot, located on Cecil B. Moore Ave between 12th and 13th streets.
