About Us

Slogan

A learning and networking space outside of class for psychology students

Mission Statement

The PSA is an organization for undergraduate Psychology students and creatives interested in Psychology at TUJ. Our association will serve as 1) an academically stimulating environment for psych majors, minors and enthusiasts, 2) a platform to foster important connections among psychology students, and 3) an agent to raise mental health awareness among TUJ community. The association will be run by students with a steady mentorship from the Psychology faculty.

The club was founded in spring 2021, but started organizing activities only in fall 2021. For the future, the club aims to organize all kinds of activities ranging from academic discussions to casual picnics for the psych community.

Students do NOT have to be a member of the PSA to reap the benefits of being involved in PSA activities. However, any person who is interested in building and sustaining the club is welcomed to join the club and participate in weekly meetings and activities.

Purpose of the Club from the Leader’s Statement

  • Learning and networking space outside of class for psych students
  • Club is primarily centered around academic activities (research/psych discussions, symposium in the near future), sharing career-related opportunities (e.g., internship interviews), alongside fun events (e.g., movie nights)
