(<a href=\"https:\/\/dimit.me\/Fe26\/\">https:\/\/dimit.me\/Fe26\/<\/a>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dimitar Dimitrov and Kevin O&#8217;Connor were students in an astronomy course I taught at RPI, and created this game as part of a project for this course.  I served as the &#8220;science advisor&#8221; for this project, and it turned out really well.  Several astronomers have told me they use this in upper-level astrophysics courses as a point of discussion. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dimitar&#8217;s and Kevin&#8217;s creation went viral on the internet for a short time, and they were interviewed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.popularmechanics.com\/culture\/gaming\/a10402\/how-accurate-is-fe26-the-fusion-powered-take-on-2048-16729778\/\">Popular Mechanics<\/a> and received mention on <a href=\"https:\/\/gizmodo.com\/stellar-fusion-is-shockingly-addictive-1564152075\">Gizmodo<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-summary\">\nPlay a game to learn about fusion in the late stages of high-mass stars, and nucleosynthesis in general!
