March 2018: Drs. Hiremath and Amiri collaborated with GEAR-UP Temple to conduct an Assistive Technology Development workshop for students from the Thomas Alva Edison and Benjamin Franklin High Schools in Philadelphia.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

September 2017: TK, a high school student from the Science Leadership Academy, did a 8 week internship at the PHIRE lab. TK presenting her work at the Franklin Institute’s STEM Scholars program.

Spring 2017: Drs. Hiremath and Thompson collaborated with Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP) Temple University to conduct a Human Controlled Assistive Robots workshop for middle and high school students from North Philadelphia.

 

 

 

 

 

Spring 2017: Dr. Shiv Hiremath presented on the topic of Assistive Technologies to Family Friends volunteers at the Family Friends program at Temple University. Shiv also conducted a uAT (micro-Assistive Technology) workshop to improve accessibility of smartphones and handheld devices. Community application of uAT workshop by one of the participants of the program.
