Seasoned leader and educator with a strong portfolio in epidemiological research who is leading the department&#8217;s development and research growth and its pedagogical mission. Leads the&nbsp;Behavioral and Cancer Epidemiology Research Program. Methodologically she specializes in community-based intervention and group randomized trials, multi-level interventions, and dissemination and implementation science. Her research focuses&nbsp;on primary care practice transformation, quality improvement, workplace burnout, and depression and anxiety among healthcare workers. She has extensive experience in the healthcare industry. Prior to joining academia, she worked as a consultant in the healthcare industry for six years, held various leadership positions at 3M healthcare corporation for 10 years, and worked as a nurse in the intensive care unit of cardiovascular surgery for eight years.&nbsp;Email: <a href=\"mailto:tulay.soylu@temple.edu\">tulay.soylu@temple.edu<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Carolina Villamil Grest, PHD,<\/strong> <strong>MSW<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"134\" height=\"133\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.temple.edu\/phbb\/files\/2023\/10\/image-21.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-323\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Assistant professor in the School of Social Work. Her&nbsp;overarching research aims to&nbsp;reduce longstanding social and structural health inequities among underserved U.S. communities, with a focus on the Latino\/a\/Hispanic populations. Approaching this research with an interdisciplinary lens, she uses advanced quantitative and community-engaged methods to develop, implement, and evaluate prevention and intervention approaches that prevent and alleviate stressors, enhance social inclusion, and improve health disparity outcomes.&nbsp;Email: <a href=\"mailto:carolina.villamil.grest@temple.edu\">carolina.villamil.grest@temple.edu<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Gabriella Maria Mcloughlin, PhD, MSc<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>Assistant professor in the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences in the College of Public Health at Temple University where she directs the RISE (Research in Implementation Science to Advance Equity) Lab. Dr. McLoughlin received training in implementation science in chronic disease prevention as a research associate at Washington University in St. Louis funded by the National Cancer Institute. She completed several implementation science fellowships funded by the National Institutes of health; such training has prepared her to lead innovative work to align policy evaluation with implementation science, using community-engaged approached. Dr. McLoughlin is deeply committed to improving implementation of evidence-based policies and programs to address health inequities. Dr. Pugh earned her clinical doctorate in occupational therapy from Temple in 2018 with a research focus of promoting childhood wellness and social emotional competency through yoga and mindfulness programming.
