Employing a cast of 35 and a full orchestra from the Boyer College, the performance bursts with enthusiasm, creativity, and talent.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 191px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: 10px White\" alt=\"Photo from Temple Theater's Oklahoma, Laurie and Curley\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.temple.edu\/performingartsnews\/files\/2013\/10\/OklahomaCurleyandLauriesmall.jpg\" width=\"191\" height=\"286\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Garrick Morgan as &#8216;Curly&#8217;, and Mary Guarnieri as &#8216;Laurey&#8217; in Oklahoma!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Set in the Oklahoma Territory around 1900 just before Oklahoma becomes a state,\u00a0<em>Oklahoma!<\/em> centers around the love triangle between the farm girl Laurie, the cowboy Curley, and the cowhand Jud Fry. \u00a0A second comic love triangle is added to the mix with Ad Annie, her boyfriend, Will Parker, and a traveling peddler. \u00a0Within the framework of these love triangles,\u00a0<em>Oklahoma! <\/em>tells the story of a changing society and nation, and a western territory full of optimism in the face of challenges. \u00a0Musically,\u00a0<em>Oklahoma! <\/em>presents a delightful array of melodies that have become American classics such as\u00a0<em>\u00a0Oh, What a Beautiful Morning, People Will Say We&#8217;re in Love, \u00a0The Surrey With The Fringe On Top, \u00a0<\/em>and the rousing final\u00e9<em>, \u2018Oklahoma\u2019,<\/em> to name a few<em>. \u00a0<\/em>Visionary\u00a0choreography by Agnes De Mille, blending ballet with American dance forms, integrates dance into the story line for the first time. The <a title=\"design team headed by Marie Anne Chiment\" href=\"http:\/\/templetheaters.wordpress.com\/2013\/10\/04\/meet-the-design-team-marie-anne-chiment\/\" target=\"_blank\">design team for the Temple production, headed by prize-winning designer Marie Anne Chiment<\/a>, creates a set for the Temple production that is beautiful and inspired, innovative and original, yet at the same time fitting in with a traditional production.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 448px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Oklahomakisssmall\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.temple.edu\/performingartsnews\/files\/2013\/10\/Oklahomakisssmall.jpg\" width=\"448\" height=\"299\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Kendyll Young as &#8216;Ado Annie&#8217;
