Fuji was wonderful, but it was time to move on, so we headed for the eastern coast – the Izu Peninsula. We booked a bus (the trains were sold out due to Golden Week) and headed over (not too long of a bus ride). It was a short stay which turned out for the best. Our main highlight was the SkyWalk with views of Mt. Fuji. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also went to our first castle, Odawara Castle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also encountered our first covered shopping center. Who knew – Japan gets a fair amount of rain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We did see some of the coast line and a waterfall (still featuring Mt Fuji interestingly enough, it dominates the skyline). Given we didn’t have a car we couldn’t make it out to the Jogasaki Coast … next time…)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
