This was the first destination with Anna after I picked her up from Temple University’s Japan campus. It’s a couple of hours outside of Tokyo so we traveled by train (Google maps is excellent when going around Japan) and hoofed it a bit on foot (though we did end up using a taxi to get to the park and back to the hotel).

The flower park is known for its Wisteria which is a hanging flower. It’s a decent sized park (not as large as Longwood Gardens but definitely packed with flowers and blooming plants).

This is the R9 hotel we stayed at.

I got up in time to see the sunrise.

This is one of the rural trains and the commuter parking for the train.

Oh, I forgot. They had Wisteria ice cream. Yes, I broke my diet. Yes, it was good.
