She recently traveled to Temple University\u2019s Main Campus to bring her message to students and others in attendance at the event held at the Fox School of Business\u2019s Alter Hall MBA Commons.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wyatt, who is the chief of education outreach at the United Nations department of Global Communications, was invited by the university\u2019s Center for International Business Education &amp; Research (CIBER) and the university\u2019s Office of Global Engagement to take part in Global Education Week\u2019s \u201cCareers at United Nations\u201d event on Oct. 23.&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the presentation about her work, Wyatt joined Eric Brunner, Temple\u2019s assistant vice president for Human Resources\/Learning and Development, for a moderated discussion which included audience questions.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.temple.edu\/owltopia\/files\/2024\/12\/image-1024x682-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4166\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sites.temple.edu\/owltopia\/files\/2024\/12\/image-1024x682-1.png 1024w, https:\/\/sites.temple.edu\/owltopia\/files\/2024\/12\/image-1024x682-1-300x200.png 300w, https:\/\/sites.temple.edu\/owltopia\/files\/2024\/12\/image-1024x682-1-768x512.png 768w, https:\/\/sites.temple.edu\/owltopia\/files\/2024\/12\/image-1024x682-1-600x400.png 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>Photo by&nbsp;Kaitlyn Schnorbus, Tyler School of Art and Architecture<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Wyatt shared her passion for work related to human rights and the role that the United Nations plays in promoting peace and prosperity around the world.&nbsp; She has served in a crucial communications role at U.N. events and concerts, including the Global Citizen Festival, which has allowed her to shine a light on the work being done to help inform decision makers.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.temple.edu\/owltopia\/files\/2024\/12\/image-2-1024x682-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4167\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sites.temple.edu\/owltopia\/files\/2024\/12\/image-2-1024x682-1.png 1024w, https:\/\/sites.temple.edu\/owltopia\/files\/2024\/12\/image-2-1024x682-1-300x200.png 300w, https:\/\/sites.temple.edu\/owltopia\/files\/2024\/12\/image-2-1024x682-1-768x512.png 768w, https:\/\/sites.temple.edu\/owltopia\/files\/2024\/12\/image-2-1024x682-1-600x400.png 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>Photo by&nbsp;Kaitlyn Schnorbus, Tyler School of Art and Architecture<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to presenting about her work, Wyatt also shared information about&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/inspira.un.org\/psp\/PUNA1J\/?cmd=login&amp;languageCd=ENG&amp;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">internships and job opportunities at the UN.<\/a>&nbsp;Her advice to the students who attended is to apply for as many opportunities as possible and craft a memorable, well-constructed motivation statement to accompany each application.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When asked about social media use among younger generations, Wyatt encouraged students to carry out as much as they can in-person and use platforms only when necessary to interact with others.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"512\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.temple.edu\/owltopia\/files\/2024\/12\/image-1-768x512-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4168\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sites.temple.edu\/owltopia\/files\/2024\/12\/image-1-768x512-1.png 768w, https:\/\/sites.temple.edu\/owltopia\/files\/2024\/12\/image-1-768x512-1-300x200.png 300w, https:\/\/sites.temple.edu\/owltopia\/files\/2024\/12\/image-1-768x512-1-600x400.png 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>Photo by&nbsp;Kaitlyn Schnorbus, Tyler School of Art and Architecture<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>She also elaborated on the importance of the UN\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/sdgs.un.org\/goals\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sustainable Development Goals<\/a>\u00a0(SDGs), which, according to the UN website, \u201crecognize that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality and spur economic growth \u2014 all while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wyatt also noted that all 17 goals are integrated, transformative approaches and existentially important.
