You might remember this week as #YouAreWelcomeHere Week<\/em> or Super Mega Global Week<\/em>, but in 2023 we updated the name to reflect its comprehensiveness including all things global from learning about new cultures to studying abroad. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Though this year’s special global week, October 30 to November 1st<\/sup>, had a new name, the Temple community found the same warm and welcoming experience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Events were well attended and included the Kickoff, an International Coffee Hour with a spotlight on Spain, a Study Abroad Fair, Tai Chi, Temple Lingo (an event representing over 15 languages), a Temple Rome Reunion and the final celebration at week’s end, the Global Gala, with performances by a wide variety of students representing different cultures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEverywhere students went during the week, they were able to get a taste and a sense of Temple as a global institution,\u201d said Senior Vice Provost of Global Engagement and Dean of Temple Rome, Emilia Zankina. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students echoed similar sentiments. \u201cThis event helps you find your community,\u201d said international student, Flavia Astete Garcia.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
