The Nano Instrumentation Center\u2019s first workshop<\/span>,<\/span> focusing on our new <\/span>Scios<\/span> FIB-SEM<\/span>,<\/span> was a resounding success! <\/span>This workshop ushers in a new era of nano-scale research, not just at Temple University, but also for the greater Philadelphia and Northeast regions as we christen our new <\/span>Scios<\/span> Dualbeam<\/span> FIB-SEM platform.<\/span><\/span><\/p>

Researchers from Temple University, Drexel University, the University of Pennsylvania, and industry were in attendance. Experts from <\/span>Thermofisher<\/span> Scientific\u2019s <\/span>Nanoport<\/span> and Avizo teams led sessions covering <\/span>FIB cross-sectioning, TEM sample preparation, correlative imaging, 3D materials characterization, 3D image reconstruction, and AI-assisted image analysis. Participants had the opportunity to discuss their research questions with experts from <\/span>Thermofisher\u2019s<\/span> EM applications team and engage in <\/span>discussion<\/span> with colleagues and collaborators.<\/span><\/span><\/p>
