Bi-Directional Approach to Communication

What Do We Mean by That?

*Explanation*

Community to Researchers

Establish NeuroHIV research priorities, informed by community-based health and human service providers, people living with HIV, and other community stakeholders

Researchers to Community

The NHCPDC will form community-university partnerships to facilitate the dissemination of investigators’ advances and help disseminate CNHC investigators’ findings, increase impact and relevance for communities impacted by NeuroHIV.

How Will We Achieve That?

1. Develop and disseminate print materials for distribution to community partners and at public events

2. Convene public discussions and presentations at the CAMC’s CityWide HIV/AIDS Symposium

3. Consult with the CPAB on alternative or creative ways to disseminate findings (e.g., talks hosted by nonacademic organizations, such as local or national HIV advocacy groups)

4. Assess needs of researchers, community providers, people living with HIV to inform NeuroHIV research agenda
