Every other month, the Community Partnership Core joins Esperanza Health Center at the CORE building for their Hub4Health resource fair. We provide resources on HIV and brain health, mental health, and nutrition. We also give out items like tissues, hand sanitizers, squishy brains, fresh produce, and flowers!

In July and August of 2026, the Community Partnership Core joined Philadelphia FIGHT’s Project TEACH Primetime 50+ series of classes to present and discuss brain health, aging, and HIV. Throughout the series, we had meaningful discussions on how memory and thinking changes as we age, how HIV affects memory and thinking, what we can do to support brain health, and how mental health plays a role in HIV care.

The Community Partnership Core attended Philadelphia FIGHT‘s annual HIV Education Summit on June 12, 2026 to distribute resources on brain health, mental health, neuropathy, and HIV. We also gave out tissues, hand sanitizers, and snacks. 

On June 11, 2026, the Community Partnership Core team met in-person at Temple University’s new Barnett College of Public Health building for our annual team retreat to connect and brainstorm fresh ideas. We discussed envisioning the future of the website and expanding relationships with community partners, all while eating yummy food to nourish our brains!

On June 10, 2026, the Community Partnership Core partnered with the Health Federation of Philadelphia to give a MidAtlantic AIDS Education and Training Center webinar on HIV & neurocognitive disorders to HIV clinicians throughout the region.

On May 6, 2026, the Community Partnership Core visited the Strawberry Mansion Health Center to speak with HIV clinicians about HIV & neurocognitive disorders, as part of the Clinical Lunch program of the Philadelphia Department of Public Health (PDPH)’s Ambulatory Health Services (AHS).

On May 5, 2026, the Community Partnership Core attended and presented at the Philadelphia Department of Public Health & Health Federation’s Aging & Thriving conference. We facilitated a workshop on HIV and brain health for older adults living with HIV and made many meaningful connections with community members and partner organizations.
