These images were very interesting to see, especially because I assume the picture was taken in the early 1900s. It did not specifically say what year the pictures were taken, but after seeing images at the University of Yucatan and our guide explaining the year certain images were taken, I assumed it were taken in the early 1900s because of the quality. What shocked me the most from these images is that even tho 120 years have passed, it is still used as a tourist attraction and its really interesting to see people swimming in it as well. I am aware 120 years is not long, especially because of our insanely long history, but as someone born in 2004, it seems so interesting that people have experienced the things I did during this week and seen history like me during that year. In the images I chose, you can see a group of people enjoying a swim in the Yucatán cenotes . You can also see in the next image a group of people observing the Cenote Sagrado de Chichen Itza, which makes me wonder if they had a tour guide explaining the history of Chichen Itza or if it was just a walk in situation. I am also aware people were able to climb the pyramid during that time, so i also wonder if they were able to go into the cenote in Chichen Itza since we were not allowed.

The pictures that I decided to choose for this assignment were the cenote images.
