While I did not attend this event in particular, I did however dance in the Parqué de Santiago on the 21st and on the 25th. The 21st was a very special experience for me because it was the moment that it really sunk in that I was in Mexico. Specifically, it was the realization that I was away from the culture and way of life that I had existed within for my entire life. The energy of everyone dancing without a care in the world was truly moving and filled me with elation. The night of the 25th was equally as exciting; however, it was less moving as there were way more people and more specifically their phones.
