Wireless.txt Configuration
- First, go to this link. You will be taken to a page to modify and eventually download a text file for the MiniPupper to use.
On the right side of the screen, you will see a modifiable block of text. Based on the type of Wi-Fi network you use, you will change different portions of the text:
Private Wi-Fi/Hotspot
- Set WIFI_AP1 to the name of your network.
- Set WIFI_AP1_PWD to the password of the chosen network. This password must be at least 8 characters in length.
Public Wi-Fi/eduroam
- Set ID to your username for the network. If you are using an eduroam network, this should be your assigned email address.
- Encrypt your password for the network into a hash using the generator on the left side of the screen. Notice how, on the right side of the screen, the HASH value has changed to mirror the generated value.
- Set AP to the name of your chosen network. This is set to “eduroam” by default.
After changing the text on the right side of the screen to the appropriate values, download the text file. It should download as “wireless.txt”. Move this file to “system-boot” in your micro-SD card.
