How can awareness help to decrease the stigma around mental health in the workplace?

What ways can we increase awareness?

-Educate employees about mental health

  • Talk about mental health with your employees, offer free screening tools that can help them identify their risk factors and potential treatment needs
  • Make sure managers are aware of signs of mental health problems and train the to respond appropriately
  • Make wellness a PRIORITY
  • Support employees’ efforts to get help

-Awareness days

  • The World Health Organization (WHO), in collaboration with the World Federation for Mental Health, celebrates World Mental Health Day on 10 October each year.
  •   Its objectives are to raise awareness of mental health issues around the world and mobilize efforts in support of mental health
