As you begin developing your research question, it is strongly recommended that you contact <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"mailto:irb@temple.edu\" target=\"_blank\">irb@temple.edu<\/a> with a brief overview of your idea to ask what type of review would be necessary. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you plan to collect and store data as part of your research, we recommend reviewing Temple Libraries&#8217; <a href=\"https:\/\/guides.temple.edu\/redcap\">guide to REDCap<\/a> and REDCap&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/projectredcap.org\/resources\/videos\/\">informational videos<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p>Temple&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/research.temple.edu\/research-compliance\"><strong>Office of Research Compliance<\/strong><\/a> offers support and guidance for researchers including: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/research.temple.edu\/research-compliance\/institutional-review-board-irb\/irb-trainings-and-resources\">CITI Training<\/a> is required for research study team members whose work incorporates human subjects. <br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Research proposals are managed through Temple&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/era.temple.edu\/\">Electronics Research Administration (ERA) site<\/a>. New users can request a profile by logging in with their Temple credentials and following the prompts.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/research.temple.edu\/research-compliance\/institutional-review-board-irb\/investigator-quick-links\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Templates and forms<\/a> to assist with ERA submission.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/research.temple.edu\/research-compliance\/responsible-conduct-research-rcr\">Responsible conduct of research<\/a> policy and trainings. <br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/research.temple.edu\/ovpr-updates\/research-development-resources\">Research development resources<\/a> including internal and external funding opportunities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/library.temple.edu\/\">Temple University Libraries<\/a><\/strong> offer a variety of resources and tools to support your research including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/library.temple.edu\/events\">Events<\/a> related to research and links to video recordings of past events. <br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/login.libproxy.temple.edu\/loggedin\/phmcdata.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Community Health Database (CHDB) Data Portal\u00a0<\/a><br>Philadelphia Health Management Corporation\u2019s (PHMC) CHDB Data Portal allows users to download CHDB data sets, codebooks, and survey instruments including: the 2018-2019 Southeastern Pennsylvania Household Health Survey, previous household health survey data files (2015-1998), and the Demographic product files.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/libproxy.temple.edu\/loggedin\/chdbdatatool.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Community Health Database (CHDB) Tool\u00a0<\/a><br>The PHMC CHDB Tool allows users to do queries of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Household Health Survey by geographic region (county, ZIP code), key health indicators, and demographic characteristics (race\/ethnicity, age, gender, health insurance status, poverty status).<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/guides.temple.edu\/systematicreviews\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Systematic Review Research Service <\/a><br>The Literature Search Service is designed for Temple University Health Sciences or Temple University Hospital&nbsp;faculty or staff who plan to publish their review.&nbsp; The service includes a variety of review types.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Writing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Temple&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/studentsuccess.temple.edu\/programs\/graduate\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Student Success Center<\/a><\/strong> offers specialized services for graduate students including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Writing tutoring (including read-ahead tutoring for longer works by graduate students)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Writing and research retreats<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Writing and research groups<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Colloquia<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Research Temple offers a variety of resources to support your research.
