

{"id":1102,"date":"2022-12-19T15:28:12","date_gmt":"2022-12-19T20:28:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.temple.edu\/maub\/?page_id=1102"},"modified":"2025-10-09T09:15:34","modified_gmt":"2025-10-09T13:15:34","slug":"tuhs-residents","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/sites.temple.edu\/mahjb\/chjb\/education\/tuhs-residents\/","title":{"rendered":"TUHS Residents &amp; Fellows"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Residency + MAJHB<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Health Justice and Bioethics has partnered with the <a href=\"https:\/\/medicine.temple.edu\/departments-centers\/clinical-departments\/department-medicine\/internal-medicine-residency-program\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Internal Medicine<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/medicine.temple.edu\/departments-centers\/clinical-departments\/department-obstetrics-gynecology-and-reproductive-sciences\/residency-program\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Obstetrics and Gynecology<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/medicine.temple.edu\/departments-centers\/clinical-departments\/psychiatry-and-behavioral-science\/residency-program\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Psychiatry<\/a> residency programs at Temple Health to offer a Health Justice and Bioethics track. This allows residents to earn an MA in Health Justice and Bioethics concurrently with their residency program. Benefits for residents include tuition remission for up to 6 credits per semester for Health Justice and Bioethics classes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Residents who are interested in pursuing the Health Justice and Bioethics track during their residency should contact <a href=\"mailto:mahjb@temple.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">mahjb@temple.edu<\/a> and their residency program director for more information. We are also working with other residency and fellowship programs to add Health Justice and Bioethics tracks and encourage any residents or fellows from other programs to reach out if they&#8217;re interested in learning with us!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">MAHJB Courses &amp; Timeline<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The MA in Health Justice and Bioethics requires 32 credits. Temple residents who are admitted into the Health Justice and Bioethics track can receive up to 9 credits of advanced standing from medical school toward elective requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Residents typically take 1 or 2 courses per semester, depending on the length of their residency and their personal timeline.
