She received her B.A. in neuroscience with a minor in Spanish from Swarthmore College in 2019. She then spent two years in Baltimore, MD at the National Institute on Drug Abuse studying experiential similarities between addiction and non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI) using digital real-time methods (e.g., ecological momentary assessment, smartphone sensors, and social media language). In the MAD Lab, she continues to study the intersection of addictive and dysregulated behaviors, with a particular emphasis on NSSI, suicide, and substance use. Her master&#8217;s thesis focused on cognitive-affective predictors of NSSI and suicide attempt among aggressive people.
