August 26, 2020- We are excited to be part of one of the five newly selected Department of Energy’s National Quantum Initiatives Centers announced by DOE<\/a>.<\/p>\n

SQMS<\/a> research will focus on optimizing the length of time of that a \u201cqubit,\u201d the basic element of a quantum computer, can effectively process information. Understanding and mitigating the physical processes that limit performance of superconducting qubits is critical to realizing next-generation quantum computers and sensors.\u00a0https:\/\/cst.temple.edu\/about\/news\/department-physics-part-national-effort-develop-revolutionary-quantum-computers<\/a><\/p>\n
