Final Destination???

As I write this post, I’d like to look back on how far I’ve come. In the beginning of the semester I had no idea what I wanted to do for a final project. As a matter of fact, I was stuck between two ideas as you all remember. I had done no research or anything. Had no clue who I wanted on my committee. NOTHING. Now, I can proudly say I have a formed committee, a solid topic, and done some type of research. As well as created a video of what I envision my project to look like a little, a proof of concept. Last week when I created the proof of concept, I really wish that I could have gotten more b-roll to put over Jahz’s voice but I know for the final project what I need. As far as feed back from my classmates, I was given the advice of: 1. using the b-roll that shows the different adjectives explaining Temple’s sports program as an opening scene to establish location and what the documentary will be about 2. show the reality of at least one players life so my audience can see what it’s like to be an African American student-athlete at Temple 3. in the beginning I should show how Temple views their athletic program then go into my interviews which will then lift the vail of how Temple Athletics really is. I have yet to receive any feedback from my committee as I have meetings with them this week so I look forward to hearing what they have to say. After I meet with them I will know what my next deliverable is and what I need to do moving forward. I have made a list of some of the women sports players who could possibly be interviewees, I just have to find men now.

For the future of my project, once it is finish I would like to enter it into some type of sports documentary contests around the country as well as throughout Klein if there are any. I want my documentary to live in Youtube and anywhere else that will get me recognition. I can’t wait to see the finish product. But, for now lets get the ball rollin’!!!
