Awards Sponsors

The Awards are named in honor of our generous donor, John H. Livingstone, SBM ’49, who has generously supported undergraduate research for the past 16 years.

As a graduate of Temple University, sponsoring these awards is a way of giving back for my education. The awards also offer young people an opportunity to help them through school. I also wanted to do something specifically for the library—people often tend to focus on classes or sports programs but often forget about the library. But the library is for everyone!

The Awards in Diversity and Social Justice and General Education are generously sponsored by Gale, a Cengage company. Gale also generously sponsors the awards reception, when we’re able to have one.

As we all work through this time of uncertainty, one thing is certain—the important work being done to bring to light scholarship around diversity and social justice is more important than ever. Gale is pleased to partner once again with Temple University Libraries and the 2019–2020 Livingstone Undergraduate Research Awards. We look forward to celebrating the collaborative work of Temple faculty and students who are making a difference in making us aware of key issues both globally and in our own communities that will seed important conversations for us all. Thank you for all of your efforts!
