All year long, we\u2019re collaborating with academic, community, and artistic partners to bring you lectures, panels, exhibitions, concerts, and events to inspire and engage you. We\u2019re excited to share details about two upcoming programs:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Coltrane Festival at the Bell Tower, September 21<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Stop by the Bell Tower outside Paley Library this Wednesday, September 21, between 3:00\u20137:00 PM and enjoy the sounds of John Coltrane. This<a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=http:\/\/library.temple.edu\/beyondthepage\/event\/coltrane-festival-bell-tower&amp;sa=D&amp;ust=1474385136050000&amp;usg=AFQjCNEJVuQ9x9kuuUxAgZoJ4CuCYjDIxg\"> pop up musical concert <\/a>is organized by Terell Stafford, director of jazz studies and chair of instrumental studies at Boyer College of Music and Dance, with performances by Boyer students. Part of the city-wide <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=http:\/\/www.philajazzproject.org\/index.php?post%3Dcelebrating-coltrane%23.V9wUOvkrK71&amp;sa=D&amp;ust=1474385136048000&amp;usg=AFQjCNHBNrvR_hiJ-degTNVRPygwDTD7FA\">Coltrane at 90 Celebration<\/a>, this program also falls under our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=http:\/\/library.temple.edu\/beyondthepage?event-category%5B%5D%3D9&amp;sa=D&amp;ust=1474385136049000&amp;usg=AFQjCNFSwqvBjq43IlwndVF1UH6HtOMUnQ\"><em>Music of the Great Migration<\/em><\/a> series, organized by Temple University Libraries, the Charles L. Blockson Afro-American Collection, the Philadelphia Jazz Project, Ars Nova Workshop, Scribe Video Center, and the Boyer College of Music and Dance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A Conversation with Rachel Sussman, September 27<\/strong><br \/>\nNext week, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=http:\/\/library.temple.edu\/beyondthepage\/event\/conversation-rachel-sussman&amp;sa=D&amp;ust=1474385136046000&amp;usg=AFQjCNH-iQHwAvJPNfetbns4Nhc2XF6xgA\">artist Rachel Sussman<\/a> stops by Temple Contemporary at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, September 27 to discuss her practice. Sussman\u2019s\u2019s current research centers around our changing climate and offers a global perspective on the interrelationship between geologic time and contemporary efforts of building an environmentally sustainable future.
