Dr. Black is a professor at Clark Atlanta University and author of the major scholarly monograph, <em>Dismantling Black Manhood<\/em>. His third novel, <em>Perfect Peace<\/em>, was released in March of 2010 and has been nominated for the Lambda, the Georgia Book of the Year, The Ferro-Grumbley Literary Award, and the Ernest Gaines Prize.
