Blockson Afro-American Collection<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> created and recently published the graphic novel, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Black Lives Always Mattered! The project\u2019s curator and art director Eric Battle illustrated three of the stories himself and selected and coordinated with other artists for the rest. Dr. Sheena Howard joined the project as the writer. Eventually, the public will have access to the graphic novel as well. They discussed their visions and artistic processes while creating the illustrated stories for the novel.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Fast forward to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/library.temple.edu\/watchpastprograms\/show?id=affaa870-91ea-4b95-b5aa-31e1852e6e49\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">April 2021<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, we unveiled the novel cover along with some of the illustration profiles. Dr. Diane D. Turner, curator of the Charles L. Blockson Afro-American Collection and Dr. Carol D.
