Starting this summer, we\u2019ll be posting staff recommendations and interviews, so you can learn more about the individuals working in your library.<\/p>\n<p>Today, we\u2019re reposting our National Library Week listing of the books, movies, and library resources staff members love. Stay tuned for more from our staff as the summer rolls on!<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\">\u201cMy favorite library resource is our amazing <a href=\"http:\/\/library.temple.edu\/collections\/media\/\">Media Services<\/a> collection.\u201d \u2013Kathy Lehman, Supervisor, Access Services<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\">\u201cPerhaps my favorite book is <a href=\"http:\/\/diamond.temple.edu\/record=b2676941~S30\">Gabriel Garc\u00eda M\u00e1rquez\u2019s <em>One Hundred Years of Solitude<\/em><\/a>. I used to re-read it every year or so, just to re-enter the magical-realist world of the Buendia family and the town of Macondo.\u201d \u2013Gary Kramer, Publicity Manager, Temple University Press<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\">\u201cOne from my childhood comes to mind, and has stayed there through many decades: <a href=\"http:\/\/diamond.temple.edu\/record=b4202916~S30\"><em>The Secret Garden<\/em> by Frances Hodgson Burnett<\/a>. This was the only book my mother saved from her childhood, and it still sits safely on my bookshelf behind glass doors and surrounded by as many versions as I have been able to buy!\u201d \u2013Sandi Thompson, Head, Ambler Campus Library<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\">\u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/temple.naxosmusiclibrary.com\/recentadditions.asp\">Naxos Music Library<\/a> is a music streaming service, mostly classical music. I&#8217;ve used it since I was in undergrad, and there are recordings of lots of my favorite hard-to-find pieces in there. Another is <a href=\"http:\/\/comx.alexanderstreet.com\/\">Underground and Independent Comics, Comix, and Graphic Novels<\/a>. It has both primary-source content (digitized comic book issues), and scholarly articles and interviews about them. Plus, it lets you search by character and genre, which is pretty neat.\u201d \u2013Anastasia Chiu, Resident Librarian<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\">\u201cI suggest two films by Bob Fosse\u2014<a href=\"http:\/\/diamond.temple.edu\/record=b5606687~S30\"><em>Cabaret<\/em> <\/a>and <em><a href=\"http:\/\/diamond.temple.edu\/record=b5654509~S30\">All That Jazz<\/a><\/em>. Media Services holds these films in their collections, as they are absolute classics of both cinema and performance. \u201d \u2013Nicole Restaino, Manager for Library Communications and Public Programming<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\">\u201cSome of my favorite books are <em><a href=\"http:\/\/diamond.temple.edu\/record=b5502010~S30\">The Bell Jar<\/a>,<a href=\"http:\/\/diamond.temple.edu\/record=b4202916~S30\"> The Secret Garden<\/a>,<\/em> and <a href=\"http:\/\/diamond.temple.edu\/record=b1605825~S30\"><em>The Lord of the Rings<\/em> trilogy<\/a>\u201d \u2013Fobazi Ettarh, Resident Librarian<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Get to know one of Temple University Libraries\u2019 greatest resources\u2014its staff!
