Peoplehood<\/strong>, a topic inspired by the 50th anniversary of the publication of John Howard Griffin\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/diamond.temple.edu\/search\/c?SEARCH=E185.61+.G8+2003%7C\">Black Like Me<\/a> and Frantz Fanon\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/diamond.temple.edu\/search\/c?SEARCH=+DT33+.F313+2004%7C\">The Wretched of the Earth<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Both Griffin and Fanon, though primarily concerned with racism and colonialism, were in dialogue with Jewish history and experience. \u201cPassing\u201d: Religion, Politics &amp; Peoplehood will explore both the impact of their works at their time of publication and the after-effects of the texts\u2019 publication in Jewish and African-American communities in America and Israel.&#8221;
