Summon simultaneously searches the Diamond catalog, the Libraries\u2019 digital content and millions of public domain e-books offered online by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hathitrust.org\/\">Hathi Trust.<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><span class=\"mt-enclosure mt-enclosure-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/sites.temple.edu\/librarynews\/files\/2011\/07\/summon4.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-13877 aligncenter\" alt=\"Screen shot of the new Summon search box on the Libraries' homepage, (linked to larger version).\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.temple.edu\/librarynews\/files\/2011\/07\/summon4.jpg\" width=\"294\" height=\"85\" \/><\/a><\/span> Type a keyword in the Summon searchbox on our homepage. Once you get results, refine them through categories listed on the left-hand side of the screen. Eliminate superfluous results and select your content based on library location, publication date, topic, content type and other options. For example, if you only want print books available at our library locations, click \u201cbook\u201d under \u201cContent Type.\u201d You can also select \u201ce-book,\u201d \u201cjournal article,\u201d \u201cdissertation,\u201d or \u201cbook review\u201d and combine categories for various results. If you already know exactly what you are looking for there are, of course, advanced search options. Summon can quickly tell you what content is available and in what format. The \u201cfull-text\u201d icon specifies which material is available electronically through the Libraries.
