New titles include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Traditional Black Music Series<\/em> (13 volumes) by Jerry Silverman (sheet music including spirituals, slave songs, songs of protest and civil rights) <\/li>\n<li>Sheet music of hymns and religious folk songs published by Hampton Institute Press <\/li>\n<li><em>Echoes of Africa in Folk Songs of the Americas<\/em> (Beatrice Landeck) <\/li>\n<li><em>African American Music Reference<\/em> now totals 34,112 pages <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><a href=\"http:\/\/libproxy.temple.edu\/login?url=http:\/\/amso.alexanderstreet.com\">American Song<\/a><\/em>: 912 tracks from 40 albums of traditional folk songs, rural blues, gospel hymns, and more. Highlights include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>9 volumes of traditional folk songs recorded specifically for <em>American Song<\/em> by folk singer Jerry Silverman. These folk songs were collected and published in his <em>Folk Song Encyclopedia<\/em>. These are the recordings that complement the sheet music in the <em>Encyclopedia<\/em>. Liner notes for the songs include a description of the folk song plus the complete lyrics. <\/li>\n<li>Country\/rural blues from Takoma Records <\/li>\n<li><em>I&#8217;m Going Down to North Carolina &#8211; The Complete Recording of<\/em><em>the Red Fox Chasers, 1928-31<\/em>, from Tompkins Square Records <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><a href=\"http:\/\/libproxy.temple.edu\/login?url=http:\/\/clmu.alexanderstreet.com\">Classical Music Library<\/a><\/em>: 3,528 tracks from 258 albums from Bridge Records, Celestial Harmonies, and Mark Custom Records, 1,300 new compositions were added to the collection, including wind ensemble\/wind symphonies, choral music, contemporary music by Luciano Berio, David Rakowski, and more.
