Much-needed renovations to Paley Library’s elevators have been completed well ahead of schedule.<\/p>\n
Elevators # 2, # 3, and # 4 are all back in service after extensive renovations and inspections. Restoration work began on February 21st and officially ended on September 6th, more than six months later.<\/p>\n
The work schedule was as follows:<\/p>\n
February 21 – May 11:
\nElevator #2 out of service.
\nDuring this time, elevators #3 and #4 were available.<\/p>\n
May 15 – June 30, 2005:
\nElevator #2 restored to service.
\nElevator #3 out of service.
\nElevator # 4 taken out of service June 10.
\nDuring this time, only elevator #2 was available.<\/p>\n
July – August, 2005:
\nElevator #3 restored to full operation August 12.
\nElevator #4 work continued, with expectation of returning to service on or about September 16.<\/p>\n
September 2005
\nElevator #4 returned to service September 6, 2005.<\/p>\n
