Participation information

In a focus group, you’ll join 5–8 people to talk about real-life stuff,  school, family, your community, and how it all affects your mental health. A trained interviewer will help guide the conversation.

In an interview, it’s just you and one person talking more deeply about your own experiences. That’s also led by a trained interviewer. You can join in person or online,  whatever works best for you.

  • Latin-American origin
  • Between 14-29 years old
  • Speak English or Spanish

Focus Groups & Individual Interviews: What to Expect

Focus Groups include a guided discussion with 5-8 participants to explore how specific policies impact Latinx youth’s lives and mental health. Each session lasts about 60-90 minutes.Individual Interviews include a one-on-one conversation with a trained interviewer lasting about 45-60 minutes, focusing on your experiences with policies and their effects on your mental health. Virtual options are available to ensure accessibility.
