Kolodny was selected to serve as an APSA (American Political Science Association) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.apsanet.org\/cfp\">Congressional Fellow <\/a>in 1995 when she worked in the office of<a href=\"https:\/\/history.house.gov\/People\/Detail\/15901\"> Congresswoman Nancy L. Johnson<\/a> of Connecticut. In 1999, she received the Emerging Scholar Award from the Political Organizations and Parties Section of APSA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During academic year 2008-09, Kolodny was named a Fulbright Distinguished Scholar to the United Kingdom, affiliated with the<a title=\"Politics University of Sussex\" href=\"http:\/\/www.sussex.ac.uk\/polces\/\"> <\/a>Department of Politics at the <a title=\"Politics University of Sussex\" href=\"http:\/\/www.sussex.ac.uk\/polces\/\">University of Sussex<\/a> and the <a title=\"Sussex European Institute\" href=\"http:\/\/www.sussex.ac.uk\/sei\/\">Sussex European Institute<\/a> (SEI).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Her new book with Diana Dwyre was released by the University of Michigan Press on July 23, 2024. <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/books\/edition\/The_Fundamentals_of_Campaign_Finance_in\/HhwQEQAAQBAJ?hl=en&amp;gbpv=0\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/books\/edition\/The_Fundamentals_of_Campaign_Finance_in\/HhwQEQAAQBAJ?hl=en&amp;gbpv=0\">The Fundamentals of Campaign Finance: Why We Have The System We Have<\/a><\/em> is available as an open access title on Fulcrum: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fulcrum.org\/concern\/monographs\/k3569749k\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.fulcrum.org\/concern\/monographs\/k3569749k\">https:\/\/www.fulcrum.org\/concern\/monographs\/k3569749k<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>You can order a Kindle edition for free from Amazon<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Fundamentals-Campaign-Finance-U-S-System-ebook\/dp\/B0D8Y3YLNY?ref_=ast_author_mpb\"> here.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Her first book is <em>Pursuing Majorities: Congressional Campaign Committees in American Politics <\/em>(University of Oklahoma Press, 1998). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2011, Kolodny won the Lindback Award for Distinguished Teaching, a university-wide award given by Temple University and the Lindback Foundation. In 2017, she won the Great Teacher Award at Temple University.  You can find her name engraved in Founders&#8217; Garden. She was Chair of the Department of Political Science at Temple from 2016 to 2022.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kolodny is most proud of the incredible students she has had the pleasure to teach (and sometimes mentor) for over three decades.
