Immigration advocates hope Biden makes good on promises πŸ”‰

Posted on February 6, 2021February 22, 2021 by Thomas Riese

Immigrants and advocates are expressing cautious optimism after President Biden’s first two weeks in office. An estimated 11 million immigrants would benefit from his proposals to expedite a path to citizenship.

BC, an asylum seeker from Cameroon, believes the new administration could make a huge difference. His experience since entering the U.S. in 2018 has been anything but easy.

Philadelphia immigration lawyer Kelsey Logar said she was brought to tears over Biden’s proposed immigration bill. However, she knows that the last administration left plenty of work to undo.

Advocacy groups say that although Biden has gotten the keys to the White House, it’s not time to relax quite yet.
