The two-year long Jordan Pre-College Opportunity Program, will&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>provide U.S. pre-college programming for high-achieving, financially disadvantaged students.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>guide students through months\u2019 long virtual workshops where students will engage in a series of pre-college preparatory courses&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>host the scholars on Temple\u2019s campus for the in-person EducationUSA Academy and workshops in summer 2024&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>support scholars through the application process with the goal of enrollment to a U.S. university in fall 2025. (University matriculation costs are <em>not<\/em> covered by this scholarship.)&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What are the guidelines for scholarship recipients?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Each of the ten (10) scholarship recipients will be<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>between the ages of 15 \u2013 17 years old (and must <strong>not <\/strong>be older than 17 years old on July 13, 2024, the first day of the EdUSA Academy)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>able to show financial need\/disadvantage<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a citizen of Jordan&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>have at least an intermediate level of English language proficiency<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large objectives?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>There are three (3) main objectives of the Jordan Pre-College Opportunity Program:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" style=\"list-style-type:1\">\n<li>To provide the ten scholars with the knowledge, resources, and support to gain enrollment into and graduate from a U.S. higher education institution.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&nbsp;In doing so, these scholars will gain a U.S. education and will also be exposed to U.S. culture and values resulting in strengthening U.S.-Jordan relations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>With this education, knowledge, experience and exposure, scholars may then become an integral part of a stronger Jordanian workforce that will in turn create economic growth for the country and all its
