Traditionally, during this time, my family like other families that celebrate CNY gather together and share a traditional meal that includes steamed fish, hearty soups, whole chickens, etc. However, this year is my first year not celebrating CNY with my family since I&#8217;m in Japan. It&#8217;s completely customizable to your tastes. Even if you don&#8217;t like spicy food, you can take the mild white soup.
