Provisions for Students with Disabilities

Provisions

I invite any student with a disability to contact me privately to discuss the specific situation as soon as possible.

Persons with disabilities at Temple University are entitled to reasonable accommodations and academic adjustments under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 that states:

“…no otherwise qualified individual…shall, solely by reason of disability, be excluded from the participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.”

Combined with requirements from the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA), Temple University tries to provide equal opportunities for access to all programs, activities, and services for students and other persons with disabilities.

Additional information is available through Temple’s Office of Disability Resources and Services. For information go the the office’s webpage or contact the them by phone at (215)204-1280.
