I took this picture while I was on FaceTime with two of my best friends. We grew up in the same town, went to the same schools, and did everything together. But that’s all different now. Once we started college, we all moved to different states. And due to the pandemic, it’s difficult for us to see one another. Our parents are doctors and nurses and we live with elderly and young children, so we don’t want to put the ones we love at risk. Since we can’t be together like we used to, we have these video calls to laugh and chat the same way that we would’ve been if we were together in person. As disconnected from “normal” as we are, we’ve connected in new ways to make new memories.
