I selected this picture of a sunrise taken in the summer toward the end of quarantine along side my friends. I like to think of a sunrise as a new beginning, a start of a new day. During quarantine, there were many days where I had no idea what I was going to do that day, feeling hopeless. The pandemic forced us into different perspectives. The perspective I adopted was even though some days may seem hopeless, the next day is a fresh start. With each sunrise, you can make the day different from the last. Even though the pandemic is a dark cloud over our lives, how and with whom you spend your days helps you escape it.
