About Me

Hugh Cleland-Batt is an emerging actor, voice actor, and stunt combatant. Hugh is in Temple University’s acting concentration where he is honing his craft to prepare to enter the entertainment industry. He has performed dozens of times both in school at Temple University for various clubs, student films, and a main stage show; and outside of school in podcasts and short films. He is currently acting in a senior thesis production, and involved with a year long, multi-film short film project.

Media like movies, games, and television have always been massively important to me. They were a calming force at the times when my life was at its most chaotic. While I was not a performer growing up, I did always enjoy making people laugh, and brightening days when I could. That desire began shifting more towards performance as I got later into my teen years, and came to a head when I auditioned for my senior year high school play on a whim and got a major character. From there I was pretty much hooked. If I could bring people the same joy and peace I had gotten from movies, games, and shows when I was growing up, I would be completely fulfilled in life.
